YESTERDAY
ONCE MORE:

NRG – Hit Song
Genre:
Pop / Dance

Album: NRG Vol. 5 (2003)
Track 3
Watch: MV
Live
Performance (with Koyote)

Comment: NRG was originally a
five member group and NRG stood for New Radiancy Group.
NRG debuted on October 28, 1997 with the single Hal Soo It So (I Can
Do It). They debuted on the same era we saw the first boom of K-pop boy
bands such as H.O.T, G.O.D, Sechskies, and Shinhwa. NRG is probably
more underrated but have their own fans. Their first album (New
Radiancy Group) sold over 200,000 in Korea and won the New Face
Award1998 SBS Popular Song Awards. Unfortunately in 2000 member Kim Hwan
Sung passed away. NRG continued to pursue their 5th and 6th albums with
4 members. They had some success before memebers started national
service. “Hit Song” was probably the group’s biggest hit and it went to
No. 1 on several charts. The song was released when NRG member Lee Sung
Jin hosted MBC’s gayo program Music Camp, and NRG promoted the song
every week on the program. “Hit Song” is a popular upbeat dance track
that is played a lot in clubs and bars in Korea. (credits to ~S2~)
