Lee Min Ho's Facebook Gets Half-Million Fans Worldwide
Actor Lee Min Ho’s popularity has attracted over half a
million fans to his official Facebook page.
“We set up an official fan network to
prevent social networking piracy for people overseas and it is getting a
great response,” said an official at his agency, Starhaus Entertainment.
There had been a recent fake twitter incident in which over 60,000 followers believed it was actually the actor.
As of right now, there are 560,163 followers on his page. It seems to be updated every few days with official pictures of his recent activities, and is said to be run by Lee Min Ho and his staff. His info lists dramas and movies he has been in.
Surprisingly, Korean fans only accounted for 3
percent of the ‘fans’. 72 percent of users were known to
be from Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines as
well as Canada and France. The remaining 25 percent come from
the United States.
While most members comment in English, Korean posts by the fan page are usually translated by fans hoping to the the stars’ words with the world.
Lee Min Ho starred in last years hit drama
“Boys Over Flowers” and is currently in the
“Personal Taste” with actress Son Ye Jin.
