SS501's Kim Hyun-Joong's Free Agent Status Causing A Frenzy

Kim Hyun-Joong, the leader of the boy group SS501, has been receiving significant attention from Korean talent agencies that are feverishly competing with each other to sign the raising star.  Kim’s current contract with DSP Entertainment expires on June 8. But despite preparing for the release of a new album with his group later this month, Kim has not renewed his contract.

There has been speculation that the top candidate the agency that recently recruited three TVXQ members, Hero Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu and Michy Yoochun, who are in ongoing dispute with SM Entertainment.

Kim Hyun-Joong has been the breakaway star of last year’s drama “Boys Over Flowers.”  His appearance in some acting roles have significantly increased his popularity despite some criticism of his acting talent.
