2AM's Seulong Became a Singer Because of Bae Yong Joon
2AM member, Im Seulong, reveals that he debuted as a singer because of something Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon once said to him.
Im Seulong was on MBC’s “Fantasy Pairing – Classroom of Love” which aired on 30th May and revealed his weakness, “My ears are too thin”; a figure of speech meaning he easily accepts and believes things that are said to him.
He stated that this weakness resulted in him being a singer. When he was younger, he filmed a CF together with actor Bae Yong Joon who praised Seulong on his talents. Bae told him, “You sing well.” Because of those words, he wanted to become a singer.
His 2AM teammate, Jung Jinwoon, then added, “Seulong’s ears are really thin. When I told him that he has a small chest, he started doing push-ups in his room. Now he’s a ‘mom-jjang’ (someone with a good build).”
Seulong then received advice from the members of the show: “Since it does not do any harm to you, you don’t have to worry about it. Continue living like that.”
