2PM Member Hasn’t Dated Since Debut

During an exclusive interview with Asia Economic Daily in Seoul on Monday, 2PM member Taecyeon confessed he never had a girlfriend since his debut. He said, “I had one when I was a trainee [at JYPE agency], but I haven’t had any girlfriends after making my debut.”

Perhaps this interview could be seen as an attempt by Taecyeon to finally stop the rumors that surfaced about him and SNSD (Girls’ Generation) member Yoona. Yoona and Taecyeon portrayed a loving couple in a promotional music video, leading people to suspect they were dating. Though he did admit they were “close friends” during the interview, Taecyeon stressed that they were both busy and haven’t met privately – and, when they did meet, it was for work related reasons.

Taecyeon adds, “I know about the rumors surrounding me, but there are many that are totally out of the blue. It’s amazing how such stories get made up.”

Taecyeon recently made his acting debut starring alongside actress Moon Geunyoung on the KBS2 TV series, Cinderella’s Sister.
