New Girl-Group "Umamiya"

The top girl-groups of K-pop better watch out, Umamiya is coming to town! Check out the teaser for their MV, “Hot Sour Spicy and Sweet” and also an exclusive interview!

Interested?  For those of you who are still unsure about this tasty new group, “Umamiya” is actually a spoof project by Cold Tofu, a non-profit Asian-American improv comedy group.  Although the stage is their home, Cold Tofu has set their sights towards the internet to provide us a satircal comedy project on the current trends and quirks of the Asian pop market.  The project is inspired by comedic “mokumentaries” such as “The Heavenly Kings” by Daniel Wu and “This Is Spinal Tap.”

For those of you interested in Asian-American improv, check out Cold Tofu’s official site and be sure to follow S-Cube Entertainment as they update us on the project. It should be interesting to see how far they take it and how much they reveal about our Asian pop obsessions.  Looks fun already!
