Actor Appointed Celebrity Military Officer

After fulfilling his five weeks of basic military training, Lee Dong Gun was assigned to the PR Department of the Defense Media Agency.

Lee, who entered the military last month, will work in a more familiar environment from now on, as a celebrity military officer. He will be using his celebrity status to motivate and encourage his fellow comrades in the military by making appearances and appearing on (military related) television shows. “I am personally honored that I will be able to use my talent in serving the military,” he said.

Lee’s first assignment as a celebrity military officer will be appearing on a “military-special television show” held in Seoul.
