This charming four member female rock band debuted in 2005 and returns this year with their album “Super Girls.”

The album starts off with “Aio”, a catchy rock song that has simple touching lyrics, as one would know from the English version which is the last track. On the other hand, “Super Girl”, the title track to the girls’ album, takes a little more listening to in order to appreciate the strong bass and vocal glissandos present in the chorus. It speaks of wanting to be a hero when they were little girls. On the other hand, the song definitely highlights the guitarist’s ability with a passionate guitar solo complete with scales and up and down arpeggios.

The most favorable track would have to be “Ps Love Is.” “Ps Love Is” is a leisurely alternative rock song that beautifully showcases the vocalist, Binna’s voice. The song has an overall melancholy feel with a harmonic progression from the piano and heart-wrenching guitar solo in the middle. The next track is an upbeat and cheerful song, “Ole (VICTORY KOREA)” that one would typically hear at a sports game. The full vocal effect is achieved with a strong chorus and vocal chants. In tracks five and six, Binna belts out the lyrics to “Super Girl” in English and Japanese. The album ends with the English version of “Aio.”
