'You're Beautiful' Doing Well In Japan
Popular Korean drama, “You’re Beautiful,” has gained the #1 spot in viewership on Japanese broadcast TV and also #1 for DVD sales in Korea.
Cast members of the drama, Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye, previously held a fanmeeting in Japan in June in which 4,000 tickets were sold out in just five minutes. Rock bands CNBlue and FT Island, in which members Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki are part of, are also gaining great popularity in Japan with the continuing popularity that A.N JELL has been receiving.
Further proving its popularity, the drama DVD has become the best selling DVD for the first half 2010 with over 7,000 sets sold. There is also the “Director’s Edition DVD” of the drama which reveals behind-the-scene stories of the cast.
An official from SBS Contents Hub revealed that there will be a compact DVD set which includes the exclusive content such as commentary, cast interviews, etc. It will be released in Japan this coming November and already there are pre-order sales of over 2,000 sets.
