SM Issues Statement about f(x)'s Amber

For those of you who have been anxiously awaiting Amber’s return to f(x), we bring you some good and bad news.  We’ll bring you the bad news first, just to get it out of the way.  Don’t worry, it’s not that bad!  Quelling rumors that f(x) was set to return to the music scene this month, SM Entertainment denied that there is any truth to the statement.

“Reports saying that f(x) will make a comeback are not true. Nothing has been set as of yet,” an SM representative stated.

However, the good news is that the representative also denied claims that f(x) was set to make their comeback… without Amber.  She’s still very much a part of the group.  “Amber is currently in the United States to rest her ankle. She is not leaving the group,” added the representative.  Whew!

So basically, it sounds to us as though things are the same as ever.  Amber has been absent for so long that we were really starting to wonder if there was more to the story than meets the eye, and we can’t say that this official statement from SM has really answered our questions.  Nonetheless, we’re still glad to hear confirmation that Amber is still part of f(x)!  We miss her presence and hope for a speedy recovery!
