Actor On Joo Wan Speaks About Being Discharged from the Military

Actor On Joo Wan, who was discharged from the military on December 3, met with fans and reporters afterward in front of the Defense Media Agency in Seoul. 

On, who had successfully completed his mandatory two-year military service, said that he feels bad for being discharged in the midst of the heightened tension in Korea following North Korea’s shelling of Yeonpyeong Island on November 23.

“It troubles my mind to be discharged from the army when the nation is in disorder from the North’s attack on Yeonpyeong,” said the 26-year-old actor.

These are definitely troubling times for everyone in the South Korean military.  However, we’re sure that On Joo Wan’s family and friends (and fans) are glad to see him discharged safely.  Welcome back, On Joo Wan!
