Mate Performs On Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook Before Military Service

Yesterday, one of Korea’s popular rock bands, Mate (which consists of guitarist and vocalist Lim Hun Il, pianist and vocalist Jung Jun Il, and drummer Lee Hyun Jae) performed on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, a music show where musicians and the audience get the chance to interact with one another. The three-member band revealed on the show that Lim Hun Il would be serving his mandatory military service at the end of April after receiving training. The singer further noted that he was able to gain a lot of strength from fans and will continue trying his upmost best during the remainder of his time. Lastly, he commented that he would come back with better music in the near future.

On the other hand, guitarist/vocalist, Jun Jun Il is currently working on a solo album while drummer Lee Hyun Jae plans to continue working with some jazz music as a side project.
