KARA to Release New Japanese Single on Apr. 6th

Girl group KARA is set to release their third Japanese single, “Jet Coaster Love,” on Apr. 6th, local media reported. “Jet Coaster Love” was supposed to go on sale on Mar. 23rd in Japan, but due to the tsunami attack that shook the whole country, KARA and their Japanese agency Universal Music decided to give a two week delay. However, because of the down mood and on-going tragic situation in Japan, the girls will not engage in any album promotions or activities for this single. “At least for this month, the girls are scheduled to stay in Korea,” DSP Media told local media.

After debuting with hit single “Mister” in Japan last August, KARA reached number two on the Oricon Daily Single Charts in November with their second Japanese single “Jumping.” KARA made it to the top of Oricon Daily and Weekly Album Charts last February with their first Japanese regular album, “Girls Talk.” However, KARA still hasn’t reached number one on the Oricon Singles Charts, and fans are now wondering if this single album will finally put them over the top. All proceeds from this single album will be donated to the Japanese disaster relief efforts.
