CN Blue Nears Big Bang and TVXQ in Album Sales
All 30,000 copies of CN Blue’s limited edition album, “FIRST STEP Special Limited Edition,” has sold out within a day of its release Thursday, making the quartet only the third KPOP artist to crack the 100,000 milestone in album sales this year. Big Bang and TVXQ are the only other groups to sell over 100,000 albums this year.
“CN Blue’s first regular album ‘FIRST STEP’ has sold over 100,000 copies since its release on Mar. 21st. All 30,000 copies of this album’s ‘Special Limited Edition’ have also sold out on Apr. 7th, so altogether, they sold more than 130,000 copies,” the group’s management agency FNC Music told local media.
The “FIRST STEP Special Limited Edition” album includes all 12 tracks from its regular album, plus 80 pages of behind the scene photos from the music video sets of “Intuition” and “Love Girl.” Since the release of their first regular album last month, CN Blue has been one of the hottest groups in KPOP, dominating online digital music charts, such as Hanteo and Gaon. They also reached the top spot on M.net “M! Countdown” and KBS “Music Bank” with their latest single “Intuition.”
