KARA Jet Coaster Love Ranks 1st in Oricon Chart

KARA has topped the Japanese Oricon daily charts with their third Japanese single Jet Coaster Love. As soon as its release on April 6th, Jet Coaster Love ranked second behind SDN48. KARA managed to overtake the Japanese girl group today.

Even with the culmination of the recent dispute between its members, the Japanese earthquake, and the delay (the original release date was March 14), KARA still managed to maintain, if not increase, their popularity. KARA also took the number one spot for having the highest album sales.

Kara has previously reached the number 1 spot on the Oricon daily charts with their first album last November; they have also occupied the top of the weekly DVD charts. However, this is their first time occupying the number one spot for the album category. The only previous Korean artists to have achieved this feat are BoA and Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK).
