FT Island Ranks Second on Japanese Oricon Singles Chart

FT Island has ranked second on Japan’s Oricon Daily Singles Chart today with their new Japanese single, “Satisfaction.” Released on Apr. 20th, FT Island’s fourth Japanese single has sold 17,665 copies in total, trailing only Kanjani Eight in daily single album sales. This is the highest chart position FT Island has reached in Japan since their debut in 2007. “Satisfaction” is also the ending theme song of Fuji TV’s animation program, “Toriko.” This single album, also containing pop tracks “Friends” and “I Want,” is FT Island’s fourth consecutive single to rank in the top 10 of Oricon Charts, following last year’s “So Today…” which took the 6th position on the daily chart.  In the mean time, Lee Hong Ki, the lead vocalist of the group, has been cast as the lead role for new TBS drama “Muscle Girl,” so the group’s popularity in Japan is only expected to grow.
