Seo Taiji & Bae Yong Joon's Managers Are Brothers!

Well, well, well. It seems like Bae Yong Joon was trying to cover something up when he claimed he had no idea about Seo Taiji and Lee Ji Ah’s secret relationship. It’s been recently uncovered that the president of Bae’s management company (IMX) in Japan and Seo’s former manager are siblings. President Son Il Hyung of IMX and former Seo Taiji manager Song Geun Hyung are indeed blood-related brothers. 

Since IMX’s establishment in 2001, Song Il Hyung has managed the careers of hallyu stars like Bae Yong Joon, Lee Min Ho, Lee Min Ki, and others in Japan. Song Geun Hyung has worked as Seo’s manager for approximately three years in the mid 2000s. Currently, he works as one of the board members at his brother’s company IMX.

What’s noticeable is the fact that Lee Ji Ah debuted in 2004 through a cell phone commercial with Bae Yong Joon. It’s close to impossible for a newbie to film a commercial let alone a debut project with one of the biggest stars in the country…unless she had some strings pulled for her. Coincidently, Son Il Hyung was in full control of Bae Yong Joon’s activities in 2004, and his brother was actively working as Seo’s manager then as well. It’s highly likely Lee Ji Ah was introduced to Bae Yong Joon through this connection.
