French K-Pop Fans Hold Street Rally for 2nd SM Town Concert

French K-Pop fans took it to the streets Sunday afternoon urging SM Entertainment to hold another concert of the upcoming “SM Town Live World Tour in Paris” to be held on June 10th.  According to local media, approximately 300 French fans showed up at the main courtyard of the Louvre Museum holding picket signs and posters saying, “Please hold the concert for another day” and “We want a second SM Town Live in Paris.” The street demonstration lasted for about an hour as the group sang and danced to a number of K-Pop songs, while carrying out a “flash mob” performance as well (see video below).

“SM Town Live World Tour in Paris” is the first SM Town concert in all of Europe and will feature all the top SM artists like DBSK, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), and more. Tickets to the concert, to be held on June 10th at the famed Le Zenith de Paris, sold out in less than 15 minutes showing the explosive popularity and growing presence of K-Pop in Europe. SM Town World Tour concerts have mostly focused on Asian and North American cities in the past, including Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Shanghai, but with this concert, SM plans to expand into the European market. YG Entertainment is also considering a visit to Europe, as seen in this poll, so Euro fans should get ready for more K-Pop events in the near future.
