Kim Yuna: Elegant Ballerina “Giselle” vs. Captivating Dancer “Fever”

Figure skating queen Kim Yuna showed two completely different sides of her at the “KCC Switzen All That Skate Spring 2011” ice show that took place last weekend (May 6th-8th). The multi-talented athlete successfully expressed both a graceful ballerina and a passionate dancer with her short program to Adolphe Adam’sGiselle” and new gala program to Beyonce’sFever.”

Lovely Girl: Kim Yuna’s Enchanting “Giselle”

Kim Yuna’s every move, from her intricate footwork to graceful arm movements, made the audience hold their breaths. She effortlessly glided across the ice as she became the peasant girl Giselle portraying her various emotions of despair, passion, and love. Kim replaced her triple lutz triple toe combination, as well as her triple flip, with double axels to minimize the stress on her injured ankle. Her natural musicality and artistry shone beyond the choreography of the program, and her graceful spiral and sit spins elevated the artistry of the beautifully choreographed routine.

Natural Dancer: Kim Yuna’s Charismatic “Fever”

The combination of bold red and black dress, sexy flowing hair, enticing red lips, and her amazing body line made it impossible for the spectators to turn their eyes away from the charismatic skater. Kim Yuna performed to Beyonce’s “Fever” and excited the audience with her sexy body waves. She sparkled on ice with footwork sequences and spins perfectly synchronized to the beat of the music.

For the finale, the Olympic champion dressed in casual ice jeans matched with a white tee and skated to girl group Miss A’s hit songs “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe.” The figure skating queen was noticeably brighter and lighter as she enjoyed skating without having to worry about the judges and the scores.
