2AM Autograph Session in Kuala Lumpur

2AM’s autograph session in Kuala Lumpur was held at 20 May at Wisma Bentley Music in Mutiara Damansara. With the event starting at 8pm, I arrived there around 6pm to pick up my pass and was told that that almost all 400 autograph passes were already given away.  

I had been anxiously waiting as 2AM is my favorite group idol. I was so excited to think that I can meet them again after seeing them back in 2009.

Here is my autograph session passes and pass for the showcase. My friend gave me the 2AM clear folder that was given when you buy the album at the venue.

Like many other fans, we also prepared some gifts for the boys. They would be given to staff before going up to the stage for autographs. I saw a few boxes full with gifts from fans.

The MC came out and gave out some freebies to warm up the crowd. As expected, the fans screamed every time the boys’ name was mentioned. While I was quite far in the back, I was able to still see everything clearly.

The MC started a game by calling up three girls on stage. They needed to sing their favorite 2AM songs from their current album with the winner determined by the loudest audience cheers.

Each person sang a short verse of their favorite songs and two of them received autograph posters. With one girl left, she was told she had to sing the song again. As she started singing ‘Like Crazy’ the boys appeared from behind and greeted fans with their “Apa khabar, Malaysia” (How do you do, Malaysia?). Obviously, she was the winner and she got to take a personal picture with the boys on stage.

2AM then had a short talk with the MC. The lights were then dimmed and the boys began singing ‘You Wouldn’t Answer My Call‘. As they started singing, the whole audience joined in as well.

After they finished, they went back stage as the crew set up the stage for the autograph session. While fans lined up I tried to move up to up to the front to get a closer glimpse of the boys, but it was so hard to see them with so many people around.

When it finally came to my turn, the first to sign was Chang Min my favorite among them all. I thought it would be Jin Woon, but they switched places. Here I was at a loss for words at the moment but he look up and smile at me. Next was Jo Kwon followed by Jin Woon. He flashed his winning smile and melted my heart. Lastly, was Seulong, I got to say hi to him and he waved back.

The event seemed to go by fast and smoothly as everyone got their CD or posters signed. I like how there were two translators for the group, talking to the audience in English after hearing 2AM speak in Korean.
