“Heartstrings’” Park Shin Hye Has History with Both her Male Co-stars Jung Yong Hwa & Song Chang Ui

Upcoming drama “Heartstrings,” stars CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa as the cold-hearted Lee Shin and Park Shin Hye as the the bubbly Lee Gyu Won. The two will share a sweet and bickering romance as a college campus couple who share a passion for music. With little more than a month till the premiere of “Heartstrings,” actress Park Shin Hye revealed her history with both her male co-stars Jung Yong Hwa and Song Chang Ui.

Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye, along with Jang Geun Suk and FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki, were part of the popular drama “You’re Beautiful” in 2009 as part of the fictional boy band A.N. Jell. Ultimately in the story, Jung Yong Hwa’s Kang Shin Woo lost the girl (Park Shin Hye) to Jang Geun Suk’s Hwang Tae Kyung. Despite the not-so-happy ending for the two, Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye received much love as the Shin Woo-Mi Nam couple; and fans have been yearning to see them as an on-screen couple in future projects. Even long after “You’re Beautiful’s” last episode aired, the boys (and girl) of A.N. Jell are enjoying enormous popularity throughout Asia and have established themselves as the next generation of hallyu stars. Fans will finally get to see Jung Yong Hwa coupled with Park Shin Hye as they display their perfect on-screen chemistry for “Heartstrings.”

On the other hand, Park Shin Hye also has a history with co-star Song Chang Ui. The two were part of the Korean animation “Green Days,” which qualified for the Annecy International Film Festival (June 6th -11th).  “Green Days” is about two teenagers- Lee Rang (Park Shin Hye) and Chul Soo (Song Chang Ui) – on a journey to discover their goals and dreams.

The actress stated, “I was surprised when I found out my last drama’s co-star, Jung Yong Hwa, and my last movie’s co-star, Song Chang Ui, would be working with me on the same project, it seemed like destiny.” She added, “Jung Yong Hwa is the same age as me, and we’re friends. So it was really easy and fun to act out the bickering scenes. Song Chang Ui is an oppa I can depend on. We went through the difficult process of voice acting together, and he’s someone I can lean on and act comfortably. Because of these two, I enjoy filming every moment of ‘Heartstrings,’ and I believe this will be an amazing drama.”

“Heartstrings” also stars actors So Yi Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Woori and is produced by hitmaker Pyo Min Soo, the mastermind behind Rain and Song Hye Kyo’sFull House” in 2004. “Heartstrings” will air its pilot episode on June 29th.
