Jang Geun Suk in Malaysia : Fanmeet and Photo Session

Jang Geun Suk was in Kuala Lumpur last weekend for the 2011 Jang Geun Suk The Cri Show Live in Malaysia. He arrived on June 3 and was greeted by fans at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The first event was a private fan signing and photo session. This available for fans that purchased the Platinum VVIP & VIP tickets.

The event was held at the JW Marriot Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, June 4th. Fans from all ages came from all over Malaysia and many other countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

For the photo taking session fans were put into groups of 30 to take pictures. The second session was fan signing. While Jang Geun Suk could only sign one item per fan, fans were also able to give presents to him.

Jang Geun Suk entered the room with his smile and greeted the fans with “Hello, Cri!”. The fans reply with Jang Geun Suk, aku cinta padamu (Jang Geun Suk, I love you).

He spoke in English throughout the whole event and impressed the media and fans. He introduced himself and mentioned that this is his first time to visit Malaysia, saying he had enjoyed everything so far.

After that there was surprise event by the Malaysian fans in which Jang Geun Suk  was presented with a photo album of his fans. He said he will take a look again when he went back home. There also a life sized balloon replica of himself.

There were about 300 fans that took part in the group photo session.

During the fan signing session Jang Geun Suk give his autograph to 100 fans. He signed on various things such as posters, cards and even on t-shirts of the fans (what a sneaky way to get him to touch you!).

I noticed that, almost all fans dressed up nicely to meet him. There were a few Japanese fans in their kimono, to which he spoke fluent Japanese to.

Both sessions went on smoothly as fans were happy and overjoyed to see their idol up close and personal. Later, these fans were provided transport to go to the showcase venue that was held later in the evening.
