"Super Idol Big Concert" Cancelled Day Before Concert

It was announced on the 10th that “Super Idol Big Concert,” the highly anticipated gathering of Kpop’s hottest idols including IU, Jay Park, B2ST, and G.NA, has been cancelled just a day before the concert. The concert was supposed to take place on the 11th at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

It was stated by a representative that, “Although it has been said that the reason for the sudden cancellation is due to problems on the part of the venue’s organizers, in truth, it looks as though there has been a problem with ticketing due to the lack of publicity and marketing of the venue.”

CoCo Maul, the concert organizer, is already planning to fully reimburse those who bought tickets. However, it looks as though CoCo Maul is going to get tangled in some legal problems.

Seoul Cheongwoo, the main sponsor of the concert, is planning to make legal claims toward CoCo Maul. It states that, “The cancellation severely soiled our reputation and caused enormous monetary damages.”

The proceeds from the concert were going to be used toward assisting young patients suffering from diabetes as well as multicultural families.
