Super Junior Reaches #2 on Weekly Oricon With "Bonamana"
Super Junior is breaking records again as they hit the #2 spot on the weekly Oricon chart with their first Japanese single “Bonamana.”
The single was released on the 8th, and in addition to hitting the daily charts, it reached number two only after its first week. Just the initial orders for the single was 100,000 orders. This is a record amount for a Korean group’s first single release in Japan. Additionally, this is a particularly great feat because Super Junior beat out sales for Japanese groups Acid Black Cherry, AKB48, Ketsumeishi, Funky Monkey Babys, and more without extensive marketing or promotions for this single.
Super Junior will be holding two solo concerts on July 2nd and 3rd at the Tokyo International Forum as part of their Japanese tour scheduled from July 2nd to the 15th. Also, it has been stated that “Super Show 3: 3D” will be shown at the venues.
Congratulations to the boys, and good luck on their tour!
