Kara’s Park Gyuri Cast as Main Role for “200 Pounds Beauty”
Kara’s leader Park Gyuri will give her shot at her first musical this fall.
Kara’s agency DSP Media announced on June 15th that Park Gyuri was cast as Kang Han Byul who is the main character for “200 Pounds Beauty.” This will be Park Gyuri and also Kara’s first try at a musical.
The musical “200 Pounds Beauty” will start in Japan’s Osaka in October and also show around Asia including Seoul. During the Asia tour for Japan and Korea’s Seoul Show she will display her singing and acting skills.
The musical is based on the film of the same name “200 Pounds Beauty” opened in 2008 and it was very popular selling an average of 1500 tickets per day. In 2008 the musical received an award as “Best Created Musical,” also totaling four nominations.
