Cho PD Comments on Block B's 19+ Rating on Their Mini Album

A little over a week or so, we brought you an article reporting on the latest list that was compiled of songs which received the label of being inappropriate for those under the age of 19 as determined by the Commission on Youth Protection.  Newcomers Block B, unfortunately, were on the list, along with a handful of other artists. 

The fact that the groups were listed in the first place has caused debate and conversation amongst fans.  Not only have netizens been talking, it has also gotten to Block B’s “Big Boss”.  Once Cho PD got wind of the situation between the age limit on his group’s soon-to-be released mini-album, “New Kids on the Block,” he attempted to fight back.  Here is what he had to say regarding the matter:

“Heard some news this morning that’s making me angry. Rated 19+? I am looking into it.  How can they review an album before its release?  Wasn’t that abolished during Seo Taiji’s era?  All the losers that are trying to hold us back, ‘Go play somewhere, I’m busy.’”

It sure isn’t the most opportune thing to happen to a newly debuted group, as no doubt it alienates some of their younger fans, and limits the sales of the album as well.  It could possibly hinder the young group from doing well on music programs as well as on the charts.  There have been rumors suggesting that there will be an edited version of their hit “Freeze!”, that has the problematic lyrics removed, so that the younger fans will have an opportunity to purchase the album. 

Today Cho PD left another response regarding the rating in which he tweeted, “We got rid of the 19+ sticker, did you see? ^^”

Turns out the Block B faithful won’t have to worry about being able to purchase their favorite group’s album after all!  What a wonderful turn of events for Block B, Cho PD, and of course the fans.
