Happy Birthday Seo Hyun!

SNSD’s youngest member Seo Hyun has just turned 20 (21 in Korean age) today (June 28th), and to celebrate the occasion, her fan café Cistus published a special ad on a local newspaper.

The newspaper ad read:

“I wonder how you’re doing. It’s been a while since we saw each other. Wondering if you’re healthy, if you’re always smiling…days of asking those questions have past and your birthday is upon us again.

We miss our Seo Hyun who’s always sincere, learning, and humble. Knowing we’ll meet again soon, it’s true that we’re getting more anxious than ever.

We’re excited about the upcoming days. We’re waiting for the day to give our whole love and support that we couldn’t give even if we wanted to. We would like to become someone who appreciates being able to give something to you.

June 28th is…

The 21st birthday (in Korean age) of SNSD’s maknae Seo Hyun, who always brings smiles to the fans. With our hearts loving, reminiscing, and waiting for SNSD and Seo Hyun, we would like to sincerely celebrate your birthday.”

The manager of Cistus added, “All SNSD members have become adults now, and they will get older in the future too, but to the fans, they will always remain as So Nyuh’s (little girls).” In Korea, 21 year olds (Korean age) are officially recognized as independent adults and they celebrate the “Coming of Age Day” on the third Monday of every May.

Citrus also made a special donation to a children’s foundation and organized voluntary activities to celebrate Seo Hyun’s birthday.

Meanwhile, SNSD is currently on their first Japanese Arena Tour Concert covering six Japanese cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Saitama, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, until the end of July.
