SNSD and BoA to Perform at Summer Sonic 2011

It was confirmed today that SNSD and BoA will join the lineup of “Summer Sonic 2011” in Japan this August. Other guests include English indie band The Ting Tings, American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avril Lavigne and more.

The event will be held on August 13^th and 14^th. SNSD will be performing on the 14^th in Tokyo as a special guest. Along with musicians from all over the world, this would be the girls’ first Japanese summer festival stage.

As the first Korean girl group to perform on Summer Sonic, the girls expressed their excitement, “To stand on the same stage with these amazing musicians from all over the world, we are all very excited about it. We will work our best, to prepare the best performance and have a great time with everyone at Summer Sonic this summer.”

Other than SNSD, their senior from SM Entertainment, BoA will be performing on the 13^th, which would be her first appearance at Summer Sonic as well.
