JYJ's Kim Jaejoong Gears Up For "Protect The Boss"

In a recent interview with Star News, JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong shares his excitement over his Korean drama debut.

After starring in the 2009 movie “Heaven’s Postman” in Korea and the 2010 drama “Hard To Say I Love You” in Japan, Jaejoong is set to co-star in SBS‘ upcoming drama, “Protect The Boss“, as Cha Mu Won, known as the “prince of the financial world”, as well as the main character’s cousin and right-hand man. Jaejoong chose the part because, “I thought that the role of Cha Mu Won fits me well.” It is his first-ever Korean drama.

Jaejoong also added that he wants people to view him as a rookie actor rather than a “world star” or a musician. “Even though my acting is still very lacking and may not be up to your expectations, please watch over me. I’ll show improvements every episode.”

“Protect The Boss” follows a secretary as she begins work for her chaebol boss in an attempt to tame his unruly ways – Jaejoong elaborates that, “through its purpose, the drama will create a bond of sympathy with its viewers and I believe ‘Protect the Boss’ will present its viewers with touching moments and laughter at the same time.”

“Protect the Boss”, will replace the hit drama “City Hunter” by August. “I can’t worry about viewer ratings just yet… I’m just going to focus on my acting for now. But I’m sure that once the drama begins airing, I’ll subconsciously start worrying a lot about the viewer ratings… I hope our drama does as well as City Hunter.”

“Protect the Boss”, starring Choi Kang Hee, Wang Ji Hye, Ji Sung, Lee Hee Won and Jaejoong, premieres Wednesday, August 3, on SBS.
