T-Ara Hyomin Cast for First Historical Drama Role

T-Ara’s Hyomin has been cast for MBC’s upcoming historical drama, “Gyebaek.” This will be her first try at a historical drama.

The production crew said, “Hyomin will play the role of Cho Young, the wife of Gyebaek, who will be played by Lee Seo Jin.”

In the drama, Hyomin’s role has a bright and positive personality, and her deep love for Gyebaek plays an important role throughout the drama. “Hyomin’s personality in real life is very similar to that of Cho Young’s. She feels pressure and is nervous about her new role, but looks ready to do her best,” the production crew added.

“Gyebaek” is not Hyomin’s first acting gig, as she has made appearances in movie “Gisaeng Ryung” and SBS drama “My Girlfriend is Gumiho,” but it is her first role in a historical drama.

Featuring some of the top actors such as Lee Seo Jin, Cha In Pyo, and Cho Jae Hyun, “Gyebaek” will first air on July 25th following the end of “Miss Ripley.”
