Shinhwa to Comeback with 14th Year Anniversary Album Next March

More details of Shinhwa’s comeback album have been released today. According to Sports Seoul, Shinhwa will release their 14th year anniversary special album on March 24th next year and run album promotions for about two months. They will also go on an Asian tour concert from next June, which will cover Tokyo, Beijing, and Bangkok, as well as a number of Southeast Asian countries.

Multiple sources confirmed that all six Shinhwa members have agreed to the details of their new album promotions, which will begin in 2012. For this, Shinhwas has already launched a separate agency called, “Shinhwa Company.” As reported earlier, “Shinhwa Company” will have Eric as the CEO, and will be in charge of all Shinhwa activities in Korea.

In addition, Shinhwa has reached an agreement with Open World Entertainment, who owns all copyrights of the group, to run the group’s local promotions. Open World Entertainment will still be responsible for Shinhwa’s overseas activities and own the group’s album licensing deals and rights of likeness.

Formed in 1998, Shinhwa is the longest-running idol group with the same group members for over 13 years. Since their repackage album in 2008, however, each member has been focusing on individual solo activities. Lee Min Woo, Jun Jin, and Andy are currently serving the Korean military. Eric is currently starring in KBS “Myung Wol the Spy,” while Dong Wan has been cast for a role in MBC drama “The Peak.” Shin Hye Sung is scheduled to release his first Japanese single on October 5th.
