MBC to Air Special Concert in Support of Jeju Island’s Bid for “New Seven Wonders”

MBC will air a special concert program titled “D-100 Concert-Love Jeju Island” on August 2^nd. Featuring a star-studded lineup of MBLAQ, Secret, Wheesung, Maya, and Rainbow, the show will last for about 75 minutes from 7PM on Tuesday, which would be the 100 day point till the final selection date for the “new seven wonders of nature.”

Already filmed on July 27^th, the show has also invited 1,111 Koreans from multicultural backgrounds to the audience (the final selection date falls on Nov. 11^th), in order to add support to Jeju Island’s bid. These people were also invited to tour seven main tourist spots in Jeju late last month.

Tomorrow’s show has no relation to the recent KBS live show that was organized in support of the same Jeju Island bid to be named one of the “new seven wonders of nature.” KBS’s show that aired on July 20^th drew a lot of criticism for ditching JYJ a few days before the scheduled air date, and for replacing the trio with SNSD and f(x).
