JYJ to Hold Photo Exhibition This Week
JYJ will hold a photo exhibition titled, “Mine,” for 10 days from August 12th in Seoul, it was reported today. The exhibit will showcase photos taken by the group during their 10-city world tour, covering the U.S., Canada, and a number of Asian countries.
“Even after a successful world tour, JYJ has not been able to show their success due to the restrictions put on JYJ’s TV appearance, so we decided to have a special photo exhibit instead,” Baek Chang Joo, CEO of JYJ’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment said in a statement.
“Also, we believe it would be a special opportunity and great memory to JYJ fans home and abroad who have waited so long for their return,” it added.
For this photo exhibit, JYJ carried their camera everywhere for two months in order to capture every moment of their regular life. “For two months, while traveling the U.S., Canada, and Asia, we wanted to share exciting memories with our fans. We hope this would be a good opportunity to express our appreciation for fans and passion for music,” JYJ said in a statement.
With heavy restrictions put on the group’s TV appearance, JYJ has been seeking other ways to promote themselves lately. Last January, they published a book titled, “Their Rooms,” which included each member’s essay and self-written songs. In March, the group held a special fan meeting in celebration of “White Day.’ Meanwhile, Yoochun is currently taking a rest after MBC drama “Ripley.” Jaejoong is starring in SBS drama “Protect the Boss,” while Junsu made a cameo appearance in SBS drama “Scent of a Woman.”
