Kim Hyun Joong in Malaysia : The Press Conference

Kim Hyun Joong came to Malaysia for his Asia Tour 2011 as part of his mini album ‘Break Down‘ promotions. He was in town from August 20th – 22.

He arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on the August 20 and was greeted by many local fans. Although he had just ended promotions in Singapore the day before, he was still full of energy and happily greeted his fans with smiles and waves to them.

Soompi was invited to attend the press conference that was held in the afternoon at KL Hilton Hotel. He looked well rested before press conference started. He was clad in the black outfit.

It started at 5.50 PM with many local media representatives eager to meet him. The MC for the day was Mr. Jeremy from RedFM. After a small introduction, he introduced Kim Hyun Joong to the media. A photo session was held for five minutes followed by a Q&A session.

He was asked about his feelings on producing his own album. He answered that his Break Down mini album was his first time producing and it is very hard to do on his own. His favorite track from the mini album is the track title ‘Break Down’ because it is a very cool song.

For this album, he came with the dark and mature feeling. He wanted to dedicate all the songs in the album to fans because it holds special meaning to him. He was surprised that the album sales reached 100,000 copies.

Although he is used to performing on stage with a group, he said that performing alone makes him nervous, but is determined to do his best. He was also asked about the secret to keep his body fit and healthy despite his busy schedules. He answered that he tries to do exercises during his break time and eat proper meals.

Currently, he is working on his second mini album that is scheduled to be released in October. He wants to show a new side to his fans that it will be different from his Break Down concept. He also revealed that he is preparing for his Asia Tour concert that will start in December in Seoul.

In closing, he promised to visit again next year as Malaysia is one of the stops for his Asia Tour.
