Jang Geun Suk Cameos in Japanese Remake of "You're Beautiful"

Jang Geun Suk cameos as himself in the September 2 episode of the Japanese “You’re Beautiful” remake.  He joins the version’s A.N.Jell, whose members are played by Takimoto Miori, Kis-My-Ft2’s Tamamori Yuta, Fujigaya Taisuke and Hey!Say!JUMP’s Yaotome Hikaru. While taking photographs together, Jang Geun Suk finds out that Mi-o (Japanese version of Go Mi Nam) is actually a woman under the guise of a man and gives a knowing smile, raising the tension among the “A.N.JELL” members.

Known for his fluent Japanese, Jang Geun Suk complemented his Japanese counterparts well and managed to finish his cameo without NGs. According to his agency, Tree J Company, Jang Geun Suk politely declined any appearance fees for the drama cameo. The actor said, “I did this for the sake of the Japanese fans who love the drama and give their support to me. I hope that my appearance fees could be used for the drama production instead.”

A TBS spokesman said, “Thanks to Jang Geun Suk’s cameo, we recorded a higher rating than usual. The average ratings of (Japan’s) “You’re Beautiful” is 9.5%, but the September 2 episode with Jang Geun Suk’s appearance, the ratings increased to 10.1%.”
