Rainbow Featured in Seven Different Japanese Magazines

Rainbow’s already off to a better start than most in Japan thanks to being the sister group to Kara, one of the girl group leaders of the new Hallyu wave. The girls can definitely stand their own ground, though, as they’re getting all the exposure they need without the help of their sister group.

Ahead of the release of their debut single album, “A,” Rainbow has been receiving the absolute promotional support of K-Pop fans in Japan. Their popularity can be proven in the fact that they’ve been featured in seven major Japanese magazines, garnering a lot of media exposure.

“They’ve been covered in popular Japanese magazines like NOH-NO, SEVENTEEN, CUTiE, nuts, Myojo, Nikkei Entertainment, and Nikora. All together, the magazines have sold a total of 1.6 million copies, meaning exceptional exposure for Rainbow,” officials of DSP Media said.

Although Rainbow only left for Japan on September 3, promotions for “A” are well underway for the group, with elaborate digital billboard displays up in Shibuya and their ringtone ranking first on Recochoku.
