SBS Responds to Yoo Jae Suk's Lawsuit
Yoo Jae Suk has filed a lawsuit against one of Korea’s major broadcasting network SBS and his former agency STOM E&F for non-compensation of the entertainer’s appearances in 12 episodes of Sunday variety “Running Man.”
A representative of SBS replied, “We are just a little late with the payments, but we will certainly pay.”
On September 14, the representative held a short interview with one of Korea’s news agencies and explained, “It is not that we did not want to pay, it is just that we are a little late with the payments.” He continued, “We are now paying the payments of the recent ‘Running Man’ episodes to Yoo Jae Suk personally. The payments of previous episodes will be deposited in a short time. Payments were delayed because of misunderstandings between Yoo Jae Suk and his former agency, but as soon as these misunderstandings have cleared up, we will deposit the payments.”
Yoo Jae Suk started a lawsuit against SBS last year. SBS promised to pay the payments and Yoo Jae Suk decided to drop the case. However, SBS did not hold his promises.
Yoo Jae Suk is personally receiving the payments of episodes made since October 2010. However, he still has not received the payments of previous episodes (episodes 1 – 12.)
