Sung Shi Kyung and JYJ Go Head to Head on the Charts

Ballad singer Sung Shi Kyung and JYJ‘s come back has put other artists on the backburner as they completely take over the digital music charts in a race to first place!

On September 15, the prince of ballads Sung Shi Kyung released his seventh studio album, his first in nearly three years. On real time charts like Melon, his title track, “I Like,” has confidently taken first place, showing the enthusiastic support of his patient fans. 

JYJ’s “In Heaven,” however, is giving him a run for his money, as it’s also maintaing its position at the top on other live digital music charts like Monkey3, Bugs, and Olleh Music. 

While “I Like” is a Sung Shi Kyung style self-composed ballad, JYJ’s “In Heaven” is a smooth R&B style ballad composed and written by member Jaejoong. Much attention is being put on who will come out the final winner in the end, but fans are definitely enjoying the friendly competition between the two talented artists.
