BIFF Fashion: Which Color Looks the Best?

The sixteenth Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) was held on October 6. Since this was a red carpet event, stars came out decked in their best fashions. There were a variety of colors, but four main colors shined.

For each color, there is a different concept and a different feel.

Something bold? There’s nothing that says “sexy” like red. It’s a daring choice, because it can be hard to pull off. Actresses Nam Sang Mi and Park Jin Hee opted for this daring choice. Because the color is the main focus, there is no need for shiny accessories.

Nam Sang Mi’s dress is strapless, revealing her feminine shoulders and collarbone. There’s a sweet and simple line on the top of her bodice, bringing a little more something to what seems like a relatively simple dress. She wore small earrings and a thin silver ring.

The side slit on Ji Jin Hee’s dress accentuates the silhouette of her leg. She also went easy on the accessories, choosing small silver toned earrings and heels.

The color blue is refreshing and calm, like the ocean or the sky. Uhm Ji Won chose a vivid navy colored dress. Chinese actress Fan Bingbing went for the lighter hue, a baby blue.

Similar to Ji Jin Hee, Uhm Ji Won’s dress is a “V” neck and has a side slit for the leg. Fan Bing Bing chose a strapless gown with feather and leaf-like shapes. Instead of her usual eye-popping colors, she looked more soft.

White is a pure, angelic color. It makes one look sweet, and also brings out a fair skin tone. It also gives the illusion of curves for those thinner stars.

Kim Ha Neul looked like a flower. The large pleats on the bodice of her dress looked like a blooming rose. In the back, there was a large sash that was tied into a ribbon. Wang Ji Hye literally had flowers on her dress. The small spaces between the flower shapes gives off a lacey look.

And last but not least, you have the classic black. It has a sophisticated look, which makes it impossible not to include in any special event.

Jo Yeo Jung looked stunning in her dress, which had an interesting design on the top. Her smokey eye makeup and updone hair were low key. Less really is more. Kim So Yeon looked sexy in a sequined strapless black dress. The slit, which is similar to Nam Sang Mi’s, adds an interesting point. Her hair was also pulled back, with wisps of bangs to the side.

All of these stars looked absolutely gorgeous at the BIFF. Whose look do you like the best? Who pulled off the best color?
