Seo In Young and Nine Muses Featured on Front Page of UAE Tabloid

Seo In Young and Nine Muses were featured on the front page of a leading tabloid in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The two artists performed at the “2011 Yasalam Beats” in Abu Dhabi on November 9 and 10.

“In case you didn’t know, K-Pop, as the phenomenon has popularly come to be known, is taking over the world. And it’s come to the UAE,” Gulf News said in the article. They continued with interviews by Seo In Young and Nine Muses, as they were given full page coverage in the print edition.

It also reported on a K-Pop flash mob event that took place in Dubai by hundreds of fans prior to the event. “We wanted to create awareness so that K-Pop bands will show up in the UAE. They have done this in France, Peru, and in the UK and the bands came to perform there,” the organizer of the flash mob was quoted as saying. The article described K-Pop as “one of the biggest genres of music in Asia,” and mentioned other artists such as DBSK, Big Bang, and SHINee.
