IU Confesses Her Hair Loss Problem

Singer IU confessed she suffered from a hair loss problem during the preparation for her second album “Last Fantasy.“

IU herself spoke about the problem, during an interview with a famous Korean daily newspaper, Sports Donga, on November 29 and said, “While I was preparing my second album I found out I had a coin-sized bald spot on my head.”

She also declared, “To be honest I suffered from a headache maybe because I was always trying to bear this and that. And in the end, one coin-sized hole of my bare skin appeared on my head.” The singer, who won the Best Vocal Performance Solo at the MAMA Awards on the same day she was interviewed, also said, “I have been dreaming about being a producer and I tried with this album, but it was so hard that I gave up that dream.”

For her second album IU was able to work with Jung Jae Hyung, Yoon Jong Shin, Lee Juck and other artists. IU also confessed that she woke up everyday for a week at 4AM in order to write the lyrics for the song “4AM” which was written by IU’s favorite artist Corinne Bailey Rae. 

The title track for IU’s second album “You & I” reached the top spot of various online charts.
