2PM's Album "Republic of 2PM" Debuts at #2 on Oricon Chart

2PM, currently promoting their first full length Japanese album “Republic of 2PM,” had their album debut at the #2 spot on the Oricon Chart today.

Proving 2PM’s success in Japan,the album sold 25,756 copies on its first day. Kara, on the other hand,  managed to hold the #3 spot with 15,245 copies sold of their second Japanese album “Super Girl.” The #1 spot was occupied by Japanese girl group Perfume who sold about 96,286 copies of their album “JPN.”

“Republic of 2PM” contains 12 tracks including previous hit singles “Take Off”, “I’m Your Man”, “Ultra Lover” and “100 Days Anniversary.”

2PM will hold a pre-show on December 3 in Mie Prefecture to celebrate the album release. They are to kick off their Arena Tour on December 5 and 6 in Osaka, followed by Nagoya on December 8, Saitama on December 14 and to Fukuoka on December 17.

The group will close out their Japanese Arena Tour in Tokyo on December 20 and 21.

In related news, 2PM is scheduled to celebrate its first year anniversary since the group’s debut in Japan on December 8 at the International Exhibition Hall in Tokyo. Japanese fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet the 2PM members.
