“49 Days’” Nam Gyuri to Romance Jang Woo Hyuk in New Chinese Drama
“49 Days” star Nam Gyuri will be making her acting debut in China as the female lead in a Chinese drama. A representative of Story Entertainment stated, “Nam Gyuri has been cast in ‘My Forgetful Girlfriend,’ and will leave for China mid-December to begin filming.”
“My Forgetful Girlfriend” is a romantic comedy about a series of funny encounters that results when the female lead (Nam Gyuri) loses her memory. Nam Gyuri will be playing two characters in the drama – a beautiful billionaire heiress and an ordinary girl, who loses her memory and moves into the male lead’s house as a nanny. Nam Gyuri is currently busy preparing for her roles, as well as studying Chinese.
Another Korean star, Jang Woo Hyuk, will also join Nam Gyuri in the drama as the male lead. Jang Woo Hyuk’s agency announced that the singer-actor will cut short his activities in Korea in order to head over to China to prepare for his new role. Earlier today, he tweeted, “Unfortunately, the filming schedule for my Chinese drama overlaps with the promotions for my album in Korea. I hope you all understand. For the next three months, I plan to put my all into this drama. I’ll work hard.”
“My Forgetful Girlfriend” is aiming to premiere some time next spring in China.
