Tiger JK appeared on the front page of the LA Times!

The article talked about Tiger JK growing up and how he was introduced to hip-hop culture and how he felt growing up. It featured Tiger JK’s history and how he rose to fame in South Korea. The article also discussed his concert, “The Jungle Concert in L.A.” It was interesting to also note Tiger JK’s role as being a brdige between black and Korean communities. Tiger JK and his wife Yoon Mirae were even described as “Korea’s Jay-Z and Beyonce.” The article finished with Tiger JK’s statement, “I want to win a Grammy and say ‘thank you’ in Korean.”

Tiger JK headed over to LA for the “Jungle Concert in LA,” a concert that introduced Korean Hip-Hop to the U.S. It was held in the Wiltern Theatre on December 2. The Wiltern Theatre is a historic cultural monument of LA, and is also one of the largest and celebrity based theaters in LA.
