Code-V to Debut in Japan with Release of a Single on December 7

PQM Entertainment, the agency behind the five member vocal group Code-V, has revealed that the group will be releasing their debut single in Japan.

According to information revealed on December 5, Code-V recently signed on with Dream Music in preparation for their first single release on December 7. Their Japanese single will be comprised of their Korean debut track, “Addiction,” along with a Japanese version of it and a Japanese version of “Miracle,” a song off of their first album released in May.

PQM Entertainment said, “Code-V came in first in a survey asking Japanese fans which Korean singer they would like to make an advancement. As such, we’ve decided to fill their debut album with songs that properly portray their musical color.”

Code-V will be holding a single release event at Tower Records in Tokyo on December 26. After performing and gaining experience, they will also be releasing an official studio album next year.

They’ve been receiving plenty of love calls ever since their debut last June, but had to postpone their Japanese promotions after the earthquake devastated the nation. Despite the setback, the boys trucked on, showing their passion for both their fans and their music.

The boys were asked how they felt on having promoted in Japan since March all year long. They replied, “Because of the love our Japanese fans gave us all year long, we were able to promote in Japan that much longer. We’ll finally be making our Japanese debut, so it’s been a meaningful year overall. We weren’t able to forget the support our fans gave us, and as this year was focused mainly on live concerts, we hope to get on TV programs more.”

Asked to introduce their upcoming Japanese single, “Addiction,” they said, “It’s our Korean debut track, and the single also contains the Japanese version of ‘Miracle,’ which is one of our favorite songs. We’re glad to be able to meet our fans with such a satisfying album. We’d like to consider it the fruit of our efforts over the year.”

Sang Woo added, “This is the beginning for us. We’re not going to rush into it and slowly work to transform and improve as we go along.”

On their goals for the new year, the group said, “We want to win #1 on a music chart. We’re going to work hard in both Korea and Japan, as we also have a second single release in Korea planned as well. For now, we want to respond to the love our fans have given us with a new song and hopefully lead an even busier schedule next year.”
