Rainbow's 2nd Japanese Single Places in the Top 10 on "Oricon"

Girl group Rainbow, widely known as KARA’s sister group in Japan, has managed to consecutively land their second Japanese single, “Mach,” in the Oricon top 10.

On December 7, Rainbow released “Mach,” which placed eighth on the Oricon daily chart. Because of the tough competition between other big name releases like AKB48, Amuro Namie, and Super Junior, many expected tougher results, but the girls fortunately managed to safely land in the top 10.

This is the second time the girls have placed in the chart, following their debut single, “A,” which charted at third place on the day of its release back in September.

Starting December 17, Rainbow will be starting their first promotional Japanese tour, which will go through the cities of Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya. The girls have been in Japan since November 28, appearing on TV shows and interviewing with magazine and newspaper outlets.
