SNSD’s Jessica Is Strongly Considered for a Role in "Wild Romance"
Strong buzz surrounds the possibility of SNSD’s Jessica being cast in the upcoming drama “Wild Romance,” local news agencies report. The singer is reportedly strongly considered to play the first love of male lead Lee Dong Wook’s baseball player character.
However, “Wild Romance” producers are cautious to confirm Jessica’s participation in the drama.
“Negotiations are currently underway yet,” producers said in a statement to TV Daily. “We are confirming the cast within the week and will make an announcement once we have the final details. We are talking to Jessica’s management to see if we will have a coordinated schedule. As such, we cannot definitely say that she is taking on the role.”
Rumors about Jessica in “Wild Romance” surfaced after a character chart circulated online, showing her in the space marked for a character named Kang Jong Hee.
If confirmed, “Wild Romance” will not be Jessica’s first acting assignment. She had tried her hand acting on stage, and had starred in a production of “Legally Blonde.”
“Wild Romance,” starring Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young is planned to premiere in January 2012.
