Jay Park Sends Special Video Message for Lunar New Year Holiday

Jay Park has shared a special video message for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday. He starts off by saying, “Hello everyone, this is Jay Park. It’s 2012 and happy new years. I hope only good things happen to you all.”

He goes on to talk about his new year’s resolutions, saying, “This year’s main goal is to finish my new album and successfully run promotions for it. I’d also like to have my own solo concert.”

“It’s been almost a year since I officially began my solo career. Thank you so much for waiting for me. I really worked hard to show a better side of me, so please look forward to it. Thank you,” he added.

At the end he gives a bow to the fans, as it’s the Korean tradition to bow to your elders as a sign of respect on Lunar New Year holidays. He also jokingly asks for a handsel, or money for giving the bow (it’s also part of Korean tradition to receive cash after bowing to elders).

This year’s Lunar New Year falls on January 23. Happy New Years everyone!
