T-ara’s Eunjung Breaks Kneecap, Needs 6 Weeks for Recovery
On January 24, T-ara’s Eunjung slipped on ice and broke her kneecap. She will need at least six weeks to fully recover, local media reported.
According to Core Contents Media, Eunjung was heading home around midnight on January 24, following the practice session for “Lovey Dovey.” But as she almost got to the front steps of her dorm, she slipped in the heavy snow and injured her knee. At the time of the injury, heavy snowfall was reported in the Seoul area which resulted in a lot of the roads to freeze.
Eunjung immediately headed to the emergency room and received brief x-rays on her injured knee. She re-visited the doctor on January 25, and the results came out to be ruptured kneecap tendon (also known as patellar tendon rupture). She will need to walk in a cast for at least six weeks, it was reported.
“We’ll closely monitor Eunjung’s recovery process and decide on her future schedules,” her agency was quoted as saying.
It was reported earlier this month that T-ara will get a 10-day vacation at the end of February. The group, in fact, has been promoting songs since last August without any vacation. This might be an indication that the girls are badly in need of a break.
