Will T-ara Start a Retro Trend with Roly Poly in Japan?

T-ara has had a great streak in Korea with the success of “Roly-Poly,” “Cry Cry” and “Lovey Dovey.” Now T-ara is temporarily putting an end to their music, drama, and variety entertainment schedule in Korea in order to soley focus on their Japanese career for a month.

“Roly-Poly” was the best selling song of 2011 and its music video was viewed by more than 3 million people all around the world. Moreover, the “Roly-Poly” dance has more numerous cover videos from more than 70 countries, spreading the retro trend out to the world. Japanese fans are already paying much attention on T-ara and “Roly-Poly” even before the album is released. Many Japanese music industry officials are optimistic about “Roly-Poly”s success in Japan as some are expecting more than 300,000 copies to be sold. 

T-ara will start their Japanese schedule on February 16 and the upcoming Japanese “Roly-Poly” album will be released on February 29.
